Time for another Weekend Writing Warriors snippet. Every Sunday, I will join a bunch of writers and post an 8-sentence snippet of my current project. You can click on the link to see what everyone else is up to.
Okay, so if you’ve been following what I’ve been up to, I’ve been helping Ilsi replace a leader. This week, I think she showed me who to pick. By the way, Tyk is Ilsi’s best friend from home. They’ve had the opportunity to save each other’s lives a time or two.
“You found someone?” Tyk asked, surprised. “Just in one day?”
“I asked every single one of them if they wanted to be leader,” she said. “I wanted them to feel like they had this one chance to have a choice rather than a grand suggestion. One girl was the only one that flat out said yes.”
“That narrows it down a bit.”
“All the others said something like, ‘if it would please the people’ as if they would do it if someone forced them. But that one girl, Myf is her name . . . she’s going to be their leader.”
Check out my other snippets here. Read my next snippet next Sunday. And comment below if you’ve got a snippet to share as well!

Well, that’s a smart way to choose the honest one. No point in getting a shrinking violet as leader. 🙂
Great eight! I like Myf already. She must know what she wants. Hope Ilsi made the right choice!
She sounds like she’ll make a great leader. That’s a great attitude towards leadership.
